Paramedical First Aid North Derbyshire

Here at Paramedical First Aid North Derbyshire we offer bespoke courses to suit your individual first aid requirements. These courses can be of any duration with a minimum of 1 hour teaching time.

FANTASTIC ONE HOUR FIRST AID SESSIONS FOR CHILDREN AGED 5-16. We offer a selection of one hour sessions delivered by Paramedics covering several key areas of the school curriculum.  Alternatively you may prefer to design your own course by incorporating a combination of the 20 or 30 minute sessions listed below. Available for groups of 25-35 students. If groups are smaller than 25 students then please email for a quote as there will be a slight price adjustment.

Each year approximately 1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health condition and at least 1 in 6 employees experience common mental health problems in the workplace. Research has shown that work is the biggest cause of stress which can stop people performing at their best. Mental health conditions are often hidden due to stigma and fear of discrimination and research has shown that a culture of fear and silence around mental health is costly to employers. The HSE guidance " First aid needs assessments" refers to mental health in the workplace. This 12-hour qualification provides learners with the knowledge to recognise a wide range of mental health conditions and learn about the support/therapy provided by professional healthcare providers. This popular course is emotive so as such we provide the tissues. As Ambulance staff we encounter many mental health patients and over the years have built up a lot of experience and knowledge which we will pass on to each learner to make the course more interactive with real life examples.

This 4-hour qualification provides learners with the knowledge to recognise a range of mental health conditions, how to start a supportive conversation and when and how to signpost a person to seek appropriate professional help. Please note that all mental health first aid courses can be very emotive as all subjects contain sensitive and truthful information and delivered by Paramedics who see this on a regular basis so will be delivered with true examples.  As such all prices quoted include tissues as these maybe needed at some point. Emotional breaks can be taken throughout the day.
